The Compliance API is a product compliance layer for distributors, retailers, marketplaces, and order systems. For supported workflows, one reviewable evaluation brings together product status, State controls, and the relevant participant credentials before a transaction moves forward.
One evaluation, four contexts
Review the product, jurisdiction, seller, and applicator together
Product registration
Review the State product registration status for the Brand and destination jurisdiction in the evaluation.
Restricted-use controls
Include the State restricted-use or controlled classification that may affect sale, distribution, purchase, or use.
Dealer license
Consider the applicable dealer-license requirement and the credential information available for the seller.
Applicator credential
When relevant, consider the applicator-license or certification context available for the purchaser or user.
Reviewable by design
Keep the evaluation and its credential context understandable
Credential source
The evaluation identifies whether referenced dealer or applicator credential information is maintained in My Workspace or supplied for the current request.
Evaluation record
Supported requests are tracked so the organization can review what was evaluated without treating an HTTP request count as the compliance decision.
Configured access
Production access, source coverage, subscription terms, and usage handling are configured during onboarding for the approved workflow.
Coverage remains explicit. A missing, unavailable, or stale source does not become an approval. Results support a reviewable compliance process; they are not legal advice, an agency determination, or a guarantee that a transaction is lawful.
